A: We specialize in the installation and replacement of cedar fencing, decks, and retaining walls.

Q: What types of wood do you use for your fences?

A: We use a variety of high-quality cedar, including pressure-treated lumber, strategically selected to provide you with a durable, long-lasting fence that maximizes your investment.

Q: Do you install metal fencing?

Unfortunately, we do not install metal fencing. We only install ‘high quality hand built and prefab cedar fencing’.

Q: How long does it take to install a wood fence?

A: The installation time can vary depending on the size and complexity of the project. On average, a standard residential fence can take between 3 to 7 days to complete.

Q: Do you offer custom fence designs?​
A: Yes, we work with you to design a fence that meets your specific needs and complements your property. We can create a variety of styles, including privacy fences, picket fences, and decorative fences.

Q: How do you ensure the durability of the fences?

A: We use high-quality materials and professional installation techniques to ensure the durability of your fence.

Q: I have an existing fence and I'd like it to be repaired, can you take on repair job?

A: We do not take on repairs at this time. If you would like to install a new cedar fencing instead repairing the existing one, we would be happy to help you with that.

Q: Do I need to be present during the installation?

A: It’s not necessary for you to be present during the entire installation process. However, we recommend being available at the start and end of the project to discuss any specific requirements or concerns.

Q: How much does a wood fence cost?

A: The cost of a wood fence depends on several factors, including the height, linear footage, design and the terrain of your property. We provide estimates to give you a clear idea of the cost for your specific project.

 

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: We accept various forms of payment, including cash, checks, e-transfers and credit cards (with additional processing fee).

Q: Do you require a deposit before starting the work?

A: Yes, we typically require a 30% deposit to secure your project on our schedule. The deposit amount will be discussed during the initial consultation and included in the contract.

Q: How should I maintain my wood fence?
A: Regular maintenance includes cleaning the fence, checking for damage, and applying a sealant or stain every few years to protect the wood. 

 

Q: Do you provide a warranty on your fences?
A: Yes, we offer a warranty on our workmanship for 3 years.

Q: Do I need a permit to install a wood fence?
A: There's no permit requirement needed when installing fence. We do need to abide to city bylaws. Surveyor may be required to ensure the fences are built on the correct property line. A BC OneCall and service locator maybe required to ensure safe digging practices. Decks over 18 inches in height do require permits, retaining walls over 3 feet in height will also require permits.

 

Q: Are there any local regulations or restrictions on fence installation?
A: Yes, local city and district regulations and bylaws can affect the height, style, and placement of your fence.
